SimpleGrow focuses on animal feed performance by means of harnessing technologies and innovative ingredients for proven final feed formulations.

The ever-increasing pressures on animal feed supply, is core to our focus for a sustainable future. Due to numerous challenges (for example the dwindling wild fish supply in our oceans, and thus fishmeal byproduct scarcity for animal feed inclusion); alternative feasible solutions are continuously sought after, with ongoing research and trials.

Methods and processes for the improvement of traditional feed ingredients are also investigated.   An example is to reduce the potentially harmful factors in certain feed ingredients (known collectively as ‘anti-nutritive factors’). By removing and/or reducing these anti-nutritive factors, the resultant ingredients are more viable for the animal’s ultimate performance (especially in younger animals).

Technologies to prevent the loss of the fine feed ingredients in processing (especially feed pelleting) has been achieved by the development of a nutrient rich binder. The resultant is not only reduced feed losses of essential ‘fines’ but also a superior final pellet and/or crumble quality. This improved crumble/pellet quality results in increased poultry and swine feed intakes, and thus improved overall animal performance and reduced feed losses.

SimpleGrow offers the manufacture of animal feed for certain educational institutions, universities and private Companies. The importance of accurate animal feed trials with the accompanying correct feed blends, cannot be over emphasized. These trial feeds are individually custom blended with high focus for accurate measurement, processing, packaging and precision delivery for trial farms.

Specialty feeds such as wild game feeds for the African market are custom formulated depending on the area constraints and/or benefits, for optimal game production criteria. These specialty feeds, concentrates and licks are delivered on-farm and monitored for expected performance. Crocodile and fish feeds are specifically formulated for customers depending on their systems and nutritive requirements on-farm.
